White Cat - Holly Black

Oh Holly Black, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I'm just kiddin' I'm not going to post a love poem to H.B.

However, being completely impressed with Ms. Black's new book, I have to put this out there. I don't think very many thirty-something women can write a teenage male in first person. Or at least not well. Holly Black has made my short list of women who do.

That's it... short post, I know. But I've got to get back to reading!

Check out White Cat!

  1. Yeah, I'm reading Libba Bray's book: Going Bovine. I don't think I'll ever write a male POV. Bray writes her MC's penis reactions in a way I'm not sure I could.

It takes an exceptional female author to write a great male POV. I'll have to check this out sometime. :)

  3. OMG, this is on my list too. I loved her other books (with female MC's). But yeah, I've been eyeballing this one.

  4. So far it's great. I love the con artist aspect and the mystery. I've loved her other books, and that's saying something because I'm usually not into books about the Fae.

I just downloaded Going Bovine from Audible. I'm excited to listen.
